With over 25 years in construction, Alford Concreting built its reputation in Canberra on reliable, high-quality slabs and concrete works. From that strong foundation we’ve grown into Alford Yardworks — a neurodivergent-owned and operated, family business delivering outdoor and site solutions with the same commitment to merit and quality.
Today, concreting remains at the core of what we do, but our expanded capabilities in earthworks, landscaping, drainage, paving, and retaining walls make us an in-house one-stop shop for homeowners and businesses. Sustainability runs through our approach, recycling and reusing materials wherever possible to reduce waste and deliver results that last. Guided by faith and family, we keep our foundations strong: honesty, accountability, and pride in every project.
Our Mission
Our mission is to do construction differently. We’re fundamentally different from the start, and we apply that mindset to every job. We work closely with you to understand what you want, then offer clear suggestions and solutions to achieve it—without compromising on quality or baffling you with jargon. We also draw on decades of experience to deliver solutions that are fit for purpose rather than over-engineered, avoiding the inflated costs that come with it.
Every project is approached with the aim of producing a high-quality, durable, and aesthetically pleasing result that adds real value to the property. We allow the time each project truly needs, focusing exclusively on it rather than splitting our team across multiple sites, and we prioritise quality over volume by dedicating our full resources to each job from start to finish. This approach also builds in space to handle unforeseen delays, weather disruptions, and scope changes without compromising quality—keeping stress low and morale high for both our team and our clients.
